Usain Bolt wins in Stockholm for first time – 200m Diamond League

Usain Bolt won the 200m race comfortably in Stockholm tonight running 20.03 seconds into a strong headwind. Bolt who has lost to both Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell in Stockholm in previous years, claimed his first victory here in front of a 15,000 strong crowd.

Alonso Edward of Panama ran 20.47 to finish second behind Bolt, with Jamaican Ainsley Waugh finishing third in 20.56 seconds.

Usain Bolt is scheduled to run in the 200m race at the Diamond League in Stockholm tonight in what appears to be a weak field on paper. Barring injury, Bolt shouldn’t have any problems in claiming victory as none of his competitors have run under 20 seconds for the distance this season.

Usain Bolt wins 100m in Monaco – Diamond League

Usain Bolt has run 9.88 seconds to win the 100m race at the Diamond League Meeting in Monaco tonight. Bolt had to work hard to beat Nester Carter of Jamaica on the line, making ground over the last 15 metres after Carter had a great start.

Carter finished with a time of 9.90 seconds, with Michael Rodgers of the USA finishing in 3rd in a time of 9.96 seconds.

Bolt wins again in Paris – 200m Diamond League Race

Usain Bolt has run 20.03 to beat French hopeful Christophe Lemaitre and Darvis Patton of the USA in the 200m race at the Diamond League in Paris tonight. The athletes were left waiting at the start line for 10 minutes due to a technical fault with the starting equipment.

This didn’t appear to affect Bolt, as he ran a good bend to lead well into the final 100, before easing off over the last 20 metres to win with ease. Lemaitre ran a seasons best time of 20.21 to finish second with Patton running 20.59 in third.

Usain Bolt wins 200m in Rainy Oslo

Running in a driving downpour in front of an enthusiastic crowd, Bolt splashed home in 19.86 seconds, well off his world record 19.19 set at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009.

There was no real challenge to Bolt in tonights 200m race in Oslo, with Jaysuma Saidy Ndure finishing in 2nd running 20.43 seconds and Mario Forsythe running 20.49 to finish 3rd.

Welsh man Christian Malcolm finished 5th in a seasons best 20.57 seconds.

Bolt’s time of 19.86 seconds is the fastest time run this year.

Usain Bolt is scheduled to run in the 200m race at the Diamond League in Oslo (also known as the Bislett Games) tonight. It is Bolt’s first run over the 200m distance in 13 months and also his first time running at the Bislett Games in Norway.

Usain Bolt has run 9.91 seconds to defeat rival Asafa Powell on the line and win the 100m race at the Diamond League in Rome tonight. Powell was second just 0.02 secs adrift, with Christophe Lemaitre of France third in 10.00 secs flat.

Bolt didn’t get the quickest of starts and Asafa Powell looked as though he had it in the bag. But Bolt motored in the final 30m of the race to just clinch it on the line.
